Bloor Yorkville Ice Fest - February 23rd and 24th 2013

What could be more Canadian than an ice festival? The extreme cold did not put a damper on everyone coming out an having a wonderful time. The ice sculpters were truly gifted artists!

It was fascinating to see these individuals play hockey and wish them well to become an event at a Special Olympics in the future.

Fall Car Show 2012

This year the fall show took place on October 26, 27 and 28. For some this is an impossible dream, but good bargains on vehicles without a reserve could be had just for the asking. For the collectors there were vintage signs and memorabilia. For those of you that couldn't make it to this one, the spring show will take place on April 12th - 14th, 2013 at the International Centre. Hope to see you there!

Man-A-Mile - Monday, October 8, 2012

This event started early on a crisp fall day. The sun peaked out and it stayed dry. Thank you Mother Nature. There were 6 relay teams participating this year's 22.4 km run.

Niagara Slo Pitch

Glad to know the day of the mini tornado was something I have never experienced before.  Thank goodness everyone was safe and nobody was seriously injured.

 

Enjoyed meeting some of the players and umpires at the slo-pitch tournaments, hope to see everyone again next year.

 

 

Busket Fest August 23, 24, 25, 26

Buskerfest is great, 4 long day event. There is a variety of various vendors and live entertainment. The Friday fire show is amazing.  This is a wonderful fundraiser for the Epilepsy society and we wish them continued success to bring awareness and accomplish a cure someday.
